Those who are deprived of the opportunity of education or who drop out

2. Non-formal education recognized as formal education will be provided to those who are deprived of the opportunity of education or who drop out in the middle.

Under this policy, the following strategies will be adopted:

♦ Alternative school education will be made equivalent to primary level. ♦ Adult/female literacy class will be gradually made equivalent to primary level. ♦ The alternative school education program will gradually be made equal to twelve grades. ♦ Education equivalent to lower secondary, secondary and higher secondary levels will be provided through open schools. ♦ Open University will be made equivalent to other universities. ♦ Professional and vocational courses will be developed as non-credit courses. ♦ Formal and non-formal education programs will be made equivalent to each other with the help of the synthesized 9Riyalamvalakavam course. ♦ The Community Study Center will be developed as a platform for conducting various education programs.

Strategy

The following strategies will be implemented to implement the above policies and strategies:

♦ Making non-formal education programs useful for children, teenagers, adults and women of different age groups. ♦ Making the courses of non-formal education programs oriented towards formal education compatible with education from primary level to university level. ♦ Synthesized curriculum and lessons will be developed and implemented. Such courses and subjects will be from primary level to university level respectively. ♦ Individuals who have studied through self-study will be given equivalency certificate through examination by an official educational institution for examination and evaluation according to their qualifications. ♦ Creating self-study materials and developing operational methods and promoting them.
